About Me

Hello everyone, I’m kuro, a cello instructor.

Today, I would like to share a bit about myself.
As a cello instructor, I have taught over 150 students so far. Day to day, my work spans teaching lessons, coaching chamber music and orchestras, recording sessions, and performing as a soloist, chamber musician, or orchestra member. I also play as a guest player for professional orchestras, perform featured solo spots backed by orchestras, and occasionally play concertos.

Currently, I run a YouTube channel under the name “kuro,” where I share casual performances of Studio Ghibli themes, pop songs, and other hobby pieces. However, my primary professional career is as a classical performer.
My musical education has been shaped by studying under many esteemed artists. I have been selected for and participated in masterclasses and public lessons with:

  • Hans-Christian Schweiker (Hochschule für Musik Köln)
  • Michal Kaňka (Pragák Quartet)
  • Claus Kanngießer (Hochschule für Musik Köln)
  • Chamber Music Masterclasses led by the Pražák Quartet
  • Václav Remeš

During my university years, I was a member of the Baroque Music Research Group, and I actively tackled contemporary and modern compositions as well—backgrounds that enable my diverse performance activities today.
I look forward to sharing more performances and sheet music with you moving forward, and I truly appreciate your continued support.
